ALFRED:- Alfred was born on 1st July 1865 and died in 1946. He  was probably born and raised at 129 Latimer Street. Clara was born in 1870 in Dudley Port, Dudley.

According  to their marriage certificate they had shared the same address at 244 Horsley Heath Road, Tipton, Westmidlands. This house no longer exists and is currently a chinese restaurant.

They were married, by license, on the 13th February 1892 at Dudley Register Office in the county of Dudley and Staffordshire. Alfred was a bachelor aged 26 and Clara was a spinster aged 23. The witnesses were Florence and Ada Parkes. Alfred was a plumber and Zinc worker.  He worked for the family plumbing business at 129 Latimer street. Alfred's fathers name was John Peers, a brass founder but his employer is unknown, and his mothers name was Selina (nee Westley). John            and Selina  lived at 129 Latimer St South, Birminghham and were married at Edgbaston registry                                office in1859. Clara's father was Benjamin Lloyd  (a Blacksmith).            

                            According to the birth certificate for son Horace John, they lived at 77, Floodgate

                            Street, Deritend, Birmingham. At some time they purchased this house in Yardley, 

                            Birmingham. The terraced house is 251, (formerly, Clarence Villas), Yardley Road,                                  South Yardley, Birmingham  and this is probably where some of the children were

                            born. The house is opposite Yardley cemetery where they are both buried in plot area (13A reg 15536). There is some query relating to how many children were born and how many died. In the registered births, a son Harold, was born 29th October 1899 (GRO vol 6d 92). However he does not appear in the 1901 census as his death is recorded (GRO vol 6d 92) before the census. According to the 1911 census 11 children had been born in the marriage, 8 were still alive, one not yet born and 2 had died. The names of the 2 are, Evelyn, and Harold. The living children are as follows on the next page:-
